Lots and lots of work for school has delayed the powerpc-port sadly enough.
What still needs to be done; get powerpc-utils to compile (I did find a patch somewhere), get hfsutils and hfsplusutils to compile and last but not least, compile and configure yaboot (I'm blaming hfsutils and hfsplusutils).
Other than that I'll also need to compile the packages that have gotten out of date.

And as you probably noticed, I finally managed to compile a kernel on ppc. It seems that the first kernel that I compiled wasn't faulty. There just is no bzImage on ppc.
kernel: zImage is ready (arch/ppc/boot/images/vmlinux.coff)

I'll just finish my assignments for school and finish the rest.

As some of you will probably already know, I'm currently porting Frugalware to the PowerPC architecture. I'll give you some general information about the port.

At the moment the PPC port is being build on my iBook G4 1.33 Ghz. So it should basically support New World Macs at first (every PPC-Mac since the G3). I hope to also be able to support Pegasos in the future.

The CFLAGS I'm using are "-O2 -pipe -mcpu=750". The base system is almost done, the network, libs and devel category already have quite an amount of packages done. And the apps category is also starting to grow steadily.
